They fasten with Velcro at the back to prevent little fingers undoing the nappy at the wrong time and come with a snap in waterproof pouch. This pouch holds an absorbent washable or compostable pad. At change time, just remove and change the inner pad and reuse the pouch pant several times before washing. Extra pouches can be purchased separately so that if soiled the pouch can be removed along with the absorbent pad reducing the need for as many outer pants.
